Match Report
Tettenhall College Boys-U16A vs  Highclare School
On: Wednesday, 13 Sep 2017
Venue: Away

The boys were in great form on Wednesday 13th September as they started their first game in the tournament. They played some excellent football but finished drawing vs Dixie Grammar 1-1. Their second game vs Stafford Grammar did not start well with an uncharacteristic mistake made by the goalkeeper. From then on we controlled the game but failed to use our possession to score a goal. We finished our final group match with a well-deserved win against Bowbrook House. We finished second in our group that saw us play in the semi final vs The Priory School. We played with great team spirit and determination against a very talented team. After conceding a penalty in the second half we lost 4-0. Our final match was the 3rd and 4th position final against Highclare School. We controlled the game and never looked like conceding. We scored a late goal to win the game. This was a great performance by the lads who worked with great team spirit throughout the tournament and showed a high level of skill. Our most influential players through the day were Cameron at Centre back, David and Jimmy at centre midfield and Lawson in attack. However all the squad deserve praise for their effort and enthusiasm which was never dampened by the torrential rain that persisted through the day. Well done!
